Injury Prevention and Performance Optimisation Screening

An extensive knowledge of the sports biomechanics enables me to undergo an in-depth analysis of your movement and strength which is individually tailored to the needs of your sport following an initial discussion of your challenges and goals.
Ensuring optimum flexibility, strength and endurance will maximize comfort, performance and is fundamental for injury prevention.
As a Chartered Physiotherapist I will provide you with a stretching programme to address muscular imbalanced and provide a strength and conditioning programme to facilitate on sporting performance.
- Discussion about the reason for the assessment, current and previous injuries and goals
- Physical assessment of muscle length and strength, balance, core control and biomechanics
- Discussion of the findings, impact of this on performance and plan for improvement
- Provision and practice of stretching and strengthening and core stability exercises to improve performance and reduce injury risk
- Email report and exercise programme to the client within 48 hours and follow up to check and modify exercises.
- 1.5 hour flexibility, core stability and strength screening programme specific to your sport
- 30 minute follow up and delivery of individually designed programme
I will spend time asking a series of questions about your health, previous injuries, current injuries, activity levels and your expectations of the assessment and treatment. An in-depth assessment of the affected area and areas that may be influencing the affected area will be carried out to give a clear picture of the cause of the problem and other factors impacting on it. I will discuss and create an individualised treatment plan for you with your goals in mind. This may include hands on manual therapy treatment, a rehabilitation exercise programme, advice, acupuncture, and strapping.

- 1 hour swim/track/turbo bike movement analysis to coincide with injury prevention screen
- Further follow up appointments to re assess Strength and Conditioning Programme and provide an up to date and progressive programme
